Why we #NetWings
Who are we and what issue do we address?
NetWings is a global non profit organization. We are committed to addressing the increasingly wide social capital gap that is prevalent within diverse, underrepresented youth communities around the world.
How do we solve this issue?
We address the social capital gap by traveling with diverse student delegations around the world, championing social mobility and global exposure through our tailored global curriculum and programming. Through this work, we help youths around the world to build perspective, develop heightened cultural understanding, and strengthen global workforce competencies as active global citizens.
Why does this make a difference?
Our motivation is that this collective engagement of early exposure experiences will equip youths with the skills needed to succeed in an increasingly global world. Through our work, we hope to democratize the participation of youths working in several professional arenas that are often considered 'too complex' for youths to engage in.
How do we balance being global and local?
We empower our students to think global, act local by equipping them with the international experiences and networks to nurture their learning in their respective communities. We aim for this connection to serve as an impetus for youths around the world to work together to create local solutions to shared global issues.
We work with an extensive demographic, conducive to inter-generational learning
High School Students
Building College Pipelines
Our high school Delegates engage in curriculum focused on successful high school completion and securing a college pipeline. Students learn how to weave their global experiences into their college essays, resumes, and interviews. Our mentorship program pairs students with current college students around the world.
Building Workforce Pipelines
Our college Delegates engage in curriculum focused on exploring work options in a global landscape. Students attend recruiting workshops for global companies, mentor younger high school Delegates, and are exposed to C-Suite level networking. Our mentorship program pairs students with global professionals.
Building Relevant Curriculum
We work with education consultants and educators to build tailored curriculum around our Case Study Topics as learning supplements for K-12. This type of curriculum focuses on working with educators that want to create a global awareness within their classrooms throughout the year through short workshops, discussions, and events.
Building Social Impact
We offer a variety of ways in which professionals can help us in achieving our mission. From committees to mentor ship to global travel opportunities, we build opportunities for passionate professionals to use their day to day work skills to make in impact in the lives of students around the world through our programming.
